After receiving the green signal to call off the Ramzan truce, security forces on Monday went on an offensive and resumed the anti-terror operations to hunt down terrorists across the valley. Two terrorists were killed in one of the operations in the Panar forests of Bandipora district, an ongoing operation that was first started on June 14.  From south to north, the Army, police and CRPF conducted around six cordon-and-search operations across the valley. A joint anti-terror operation was launched in Matelpora and Soin-Saidnar villages in the police district of Sopore. However, the operation concluded without any arrest or recovery.

Additionally, security forces launched a major operation to hunt down terrorists in Nazeenpora and Hurpura villages in South Kashmir’s Shopian district, but concluded without any arrest or recovery.

However, in an ongoing operation, two terrorists were killed in an operation in the Panar forests of Bandipora district on Monday. It is same operation in which two terrorists and a soldier were killed on June 14. “Two more terrorists killed in an ongoing operation. Earlier, two terrorists had been killed on June 14 so a total of four terrorists killed so far. Operation still continues,” said an army spokesman at Srinagar.
