Two more skeletons were recovered at Ramnagar in East Midnapore district on Wednesday, police said.

The skeletons were located when some villagers were digging earth under 100-days work programme in the area, Superintendent of Police, Ashok Prasad said.

The skeletons would be sent for forensic test, Prasad said.

Local Trinammol Congress leaders claimed that the skeletons were of the two party workers missing since the Nandigram movement in 2007.

They demanded CID enquiry into the incident.

Earlier four skeletons - two each from Panshkura and Phulbari - were dug up in the district.

CPI(M) MLA and former minister Sushanta Ghosh was among the 59 persons against whom chargesheet has been filed by the CID in connection with the recovery of seven skeletons from Benachapra in West Midnapore district late last year.
