Two foreigners killed in toy train derailment on Kalka-Shimla track

People injured in the incident were rushed to the hospital in Kalka.

Two foreigners were killed and five others were injured when a special toy train running on the Kalka-Shimla railway track derailed on Saturday afternoon, according to reports.

CPRO of Northern Railway, Neeraj Sharma said that the incident happened near Taksal station which is two kilometres away from Kalka. Sharma further said that three out of four coaches were relaied at 12:55 p near a curve.

People injured in the incident were rushed to the hospital in Kalka, they are currently being shifted to Max Hospital in Chandigarh. Condition of two of the injured people is reported to be serious. 

The booking of the train was done through IRCTC and was a special chartered train for tourists.
