Two Delhi women gangraped by 5 men in Goa; all accused arrested

The five men posed as anti-narcotic cell officers in front of the women.

Two women from Delhi who were holidaying in Goa were allegedly abducted and gang raped by five men on Monday.

All the five accused have been arrested and slapped with gangrape, kidnapping and robbery charges.

The women, aged 22 and 30, had hired a taxi to go to Anjuna beach when the accused stopped them midway in Arpora village posing as anti-narcotic cell officers.

"The accused posed as policemen and waylaid a taxi in which the two women were travelling to Anjuna on Monday night," Superintendent of Police Umesh Gaonkar told PTI on Wednesday.

The men have been identified as Ajaykumar Kushwaha (39), Jeevan Pawar (26), Nadeem Khan (28), Trebor Joseph (27) and Kamlesh Chaudhary (21).

The five men reportedly took the two women to an apartment in Khobrawaddo, Calangute where they sexually assaulted them

All the five accused were arrested on Wefrom the flat, in the presence of victims, after the taxi driver complained to the police.

They were attached to a controversial nightclub at Calangute village which was recently demolished by local people for allegedly being a prostitution den.
