Two days after car hits bike, students lured on Facebook, assaulted by 5

A case of physical altercation has come in light in Mumbai's Powai area.

Five people have been arrested for assaulting a youth in Mumbai’s central suburb of Powai.

Thew victim, on February 26, had accidentally knocked down the motorbike of one of the youths a few days earlier, which resulted in the pillion rider falling down and bruising his hand.

After an altercation, the victim apologized and went home. However, the report added that the next day (February 27) he received a friend request from a girl. They got chatting, with the girl saying she knew him through MBA class and asked to meet him at Hiranandani Hospital in Powai. She also asked him to bring a bar of chocolate so she could identify him.

At 6pm on February 28, the victim reached the spot and was walking towards a medical store after parking his car when five men got hold of him and pushed him into a Honda City with tinted glasses. 

Two of the accused - Aniket Kamble (21), Mukesh Verma (20) – who were on the bike were arrested. Another three, Devendra Pradhan (19), Santosh Sarvade (30) and Sagar Kadam (19) are yet to be arrested.
