Two cases of sexual assault, including the attempted rape on a minor, were reported in the national capital since yesterday, police said.

In the first incident, 25-year-old Arif sneaked into the house of his neighbour in slum cluster of Raghubir Nagar around 5 am and allegedly tried to rape the minor girl, whose parents had gone out for work.

The victim's grandmother happened to walk in and then raised an alarm.

Arif pushed the grandmother and tried to flee but locals caught him and beat him up. However, Arif managed to flee from the spot.

In another case, a girl was molested allegedly by four men inside her house in Kalyanpuri last night.

The accused also had a scuffle with her parents. One of the accused had been stalking the girl for the past several months, the family told police.
