Two brothers shot dead over a minor parking issue

A minor spat over parking turned into a tragedy in Outer Delhi's Bawana area where two brothers were shot dead around 10:30 am on Friday.

Sahib Singh (40) and Kaptan Singh (35) were shot dead by Rahul who was accompanied by three of his other friends in Skoda car after both Sahib and Kaptan confronted Rahul over a minor parking issue.

The police has registered the case but accused Rahul is on a run. Rahul belongs to the same village Sultanpur Dabas and was known to victims for years. Rahul is a known offender and has been booked for minor crimes in past as well.

Both Kaptan and Sahib used to drive tempo for livelihood. Local villagers got infuriated after the incident and therefore on the arrival of police, they thrashed the SHO and constables.

"We have lost everything. Nobody can think that an issue so trivial can cause this much of harm. The culprit along with his friends is still out of police's reach. We want police to take swift action and nab the criminal," said Ram Kumar, one of uncles of the victims.

At around 10:30 am, both brothers were getting their tempo out in the street when it accidently brushed the Skoda car. Rahul came out of his car and started misbehaving with both brothers. They too retaliated by abusing him. Later, Rahul took out his gun and shot them and then fled.

Locals took them to nearby hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. "We have registered the case and our teams are working to nab the criminal. This looks like a case of road rage but we are also looking whether they had any prior enmity as both parties belong to same village," said a police official.

Delhites are getting short on temper as road rage incidents have become quite frequent in the city. A few days back, a duo had killed three members of a family in Jaitpur area over an small issue of parking. "Jaitpur incident looked like a case of road rage but it was the case animosity. Nowadays people lose temper easily but situation like todays is really a worry. Police is working on the case and will soon nab the criminal," said senior police official.
