Two Bangladeshi nationals were on Monday arrested by GRP officials from a train at Barauni railway junction in Bihar's Begusarai district.

During routine checking, the Government Railway Police (GRP) men found two Bangladeshi men in a coach of Sampark Kranti Express and arrested them for their suspicious behaviour, GRP Inspector Alok Pratap Singh said.

They were identified as Md Mustafa Kamal (23) and Md Salim (24). They told the interrogators that they were residents of a refugee camp in Myanmar before shifting to a refugee camp in Bangladesh last year, he said.

Singh said the two Bangladeshis had crossed the international border to reach Agartala recently and boarded a train to Jammu and Kashmir on "someone's direction", the inspector said.

The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) from Patna was on its way to Barauni to question the two Bangladeshi nationals, Singh said.
