Two arrested for BSP leader's sister murder in Muzaffarnagar

Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of BSP leader's sister in Mathura village, police said on sunday.

Sompal and Ravinder were arrested yesterday in connection with the murder of 30-year-old Balesh, who was the sister of BSP leader Ramniwas, Charthawal SHO Munenderpal said.

The accused were nabbed from Mathura village, while one remaining accused, Renu, is still absconding, he said.

Victim's husband, Tejpal, was arrested earlier and is being interrogated by the police. The accused were Tejpal's brother and nephew, they said.

The woman was on Friday was shot dead allegedly by her husband over domestic dispute here. She was murdered after she allegedly opposed to an illicit relationship of his husband with another woman who had been living in the same house.
