Cricketer-turned-BJP leader Navjot Singh Sidhu on Monday resigned from his post as Rajya Sabha MP. It was widely reported that he may join the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) soon. Sidhu was reportedly upset after BJP denied him ticket to contest in Lok Sabha elections 2014 from Amritsar.

AAP Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted the following after Sidhu's resignation: 

Sidhu was also 'welcomed to AAP' by party's Punjab convenor Sucha Singh Chhotepur.

AAP leader Kumar Vishwas tweeted the following:

But trust Twitter to remind you of what you tweeted ages ago when the time is right. Kumar Vishwas was reminded of some unpleasant things he had tweeted about Sidhu in 2013. 

While in one tweet, Vishwas calls him 'Farar MP', in another one he calls him a 'Farzi Rashtrawadi Abscond MP'.
