TV honcho Peter Mukherjea's wife Indrani, driver arrested on charges of murder

Indrani Mukherjea, wife of TV honcho Peter Mukherjea, was reportedly arrested by Mumbai police on Tuesday night. According to ABP TV, Indrani was arrested on charges of murdering Sheena Bora in 2012, who was earlier recognised as Indrani's siter. But later reports suggested that Sheena was actually Indrani's daughter. 

DCP Dhananjay Kulkarni said, "Arrest was made by Khar police, under CR no 406/15  and is registered U/S 302,201,34. Investigations are on. After producing the two accused in the court, we have got custody till 31st August."

Senior police officer added, "Indrani Mukherjee and her driver plotted the entire conspiracy to assassinate Indrani's sister in 2012. They buried the body of Sheena at Raigad. We have recovered many evidences from spot, including human remains."

Kulkarni said that Indrani's driver was also arrested under sections 302, 201, 34. 

Indrani Mukherjea founded 9X Media in 2007 and was the CEO there too. 9X Media was founded through two companies INX Media Pvt Ltd and INX News Pvt LTd. Her husband Peter Mukherjea was the Chairman and CEO of the same. Both quit INX Media in 2009.

Peter and Indrani married in 2002, when she worked as an HR Consultant and Peter was the CEO at Star India Network .
