Amid suspense whether TRS would merge with Congress or forge an alliance, a crucial meeting of the regional party would be held on Monday to take a call on the issue.

The joint meeting of TRS politburo, MLAs and state executive would be held at the party office here to deliberate on the political strategy for the future.

The meeting comes against the backdrop of the ties between the two parties running into rough weather with the TRS taking exception to the Congress "poaching" on its leaders. "We don't want our leader (KCR) to become another Kejriwal or Chiranjeevi," said T Harish Rao a senior MLA of the region party.

Meanwhile, one more TDP ML Sathyavati Rathod of Dornakal in Warangal district is ready to jump over to the TRS in the aftermath of Telangana bifurcation.

TRS Bhavan sources said that Sathyavathi is the fourth TDP MLA to join TRS after three MLAs from neighboring Ranga Reddy district -- K S Ratnam, Mahender Reddy and Narender Reddy – joined TRS on Friday last there by giving a shot in the arm of the TRS which is dilly dallying over the issue of merger with the Congress.

Meanwhile governor E S L Narasimhan told media persons that he would like to conduct Janata durbar to hear the grievances of the people on a regular basis either at Raj Bhavan or at some place. "It is a routine thing which I do when I visit districts and meet the local people but now I will be in a position to directly address some of their problems, if any," he said. He will soon review the power shortage and drinking water problems of summer months with officials and try to resolve the critical problems, he said.
