Train will pave way for development

Union Power Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on Sunday flagged off Indore-Yashwantpur Express and said the train would serve as a bridge between economic capital of the state Indore and IT hub of the country Bangalore. “The train between the two cities will open new avenues of development," said Scindia.

Reiterating the commitment of Union government for development, Scindia said, “Establishment of an international level airport and expansion of railway network will increase commercial and economic activities in the state."

Scindia appreciated MP from Indore Sumitra Mahajan for her dedication towards development of the city and said she had played an important role in starting the train.  Earlier, he flagged off the train in presence of a number of dignitaries. The train will run between Indore and Yashwantpur. Situated at a distance of 6 km from the main city, Yashwantpur is one of the developing stations of Bangalore.

The train number (19301) will leave Indore at 8.55 pm on every Sunday and reach Yashwantpur at 11.15am on Tuesday.

The return train (19302) will depart from Yashwantpur at 1.30 pm on every Tuesday and reach Indore at 5.15 am on Thursday The train will stop at Dewas, Ujjain, Maksi, Baircha, Shajapur, Bairagahr, Bhopal, Itarsi, Betul, Narkhed, Chandur Bazar, New Amrawati, Akola, Huzur Saheb Nanded, Mudkhed, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Malkazgiri, Kachchegudda, Mehbubnagar, Garhwal, Kurnul city, Guty, Dharmavaram and Yelahanka station.
