The top news of the day on Friday, February 7, was a massive ruckus in the Lok Sabha as some Congress MPs charged towards Union Minister Harsh Vardhan after he demanded an apology from Rahul Gandhi over his 'danda' remark against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The other big news came from the corridors of courts as Additional Sessions Judge Dharmendra Rana dismissed authorities plea to issue a fresh date of execution for Nirbahaya rape convicts. Earlier, the Supreme Court said it will hear on February 11 the Centre's plea challenging the Delhi High Court verdict that had dismissed its petition against the stay on the execution of the four death row convicts.

Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got a shot in the arm on Friday as Shiv Sena endorsed Delhi's ruling party for the upcoming assembly elections saying that the government led by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had fulfilled its promises. 

Friday was not all good news for the AAP as a note US academician condemned the party for allegedly spreading "dishonest" ads about Mohalla clinics.

In Bollywood news, superstar Shah Rukh Khan set to return with an Atlee directorial which will be backed by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions. 

Another big news came from HBO as its new streaming platform looks set to host a show comprising the FRIENDS star cast. 

In cricket news, reports said on Friday that BCCI President Sourav Ganguly is in the United Kingdoms to hold further talks over the much-speculated four-nation ODI Super Series which is set to take place from 2021.

Meanwhile, India's shock exit from the 2019 World Cup semis is still being debated with former star allrounder Yuvraj Singh blaming the team management and selection committee for making bad calls that led to Men in Blue's debacle against New Zeland.
