If sources were to be believed, former Union Minister of Railways and senior TMC leader, Dinesh Trivedi, is readying to join BJP soon. According to sources, he is unhappy with the way TMC works, and is looking forward to become a part of Narendra Modi-led BJP.

Trivedi was tight-lipped about his plans of joining the saffron party. He refused to confirm or deny anything.

"I really don't like to predict anything. For me the country comes first. At the end of the day why are we in public life. The bigger picture is the country. It is not the question of switching from one platform to another. We need to change the DNA of Indian politics and whatever it takes for doing that, I think we should do that," he told a TV channel.

Reports say that he has been in constant touch with BJP President Amit Shah and senior party leader Siddharth Nath Singh for the last few days. He has also been openly praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

"It is true that I appreciate his (Modi's) work. It is now evident that he is a man with a vision and a mission. And that is the reason the world is rediscovering India. This is the opportunity for all of us to join hands in rebuilding India," he said to a daily.

He reportedly also criticised TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee for failing to live upto the expectations of the people.

"We have done well as compared to Left but we could have done much better. I am saddened by the violence that I see in Bengal politics," he reportedly said.

The BJP has been seeing several new members joining the party from Kiran Bedi to former AAP leaders Shazia Ilmi and Vinod Kumar Binny to former Congress Leader Krishna Tirath.

Recently, Manjul Krishna Thakur, Minister of State for Refugee Relief and Rehabilitation in the Mamata Banerjee cabinet, quit TMC to join BJP. It seems like Dinesh Trivedi is all set to follow Thakur's footsteps.

Sources also suggest that TMC leaders are not concerned about Trivedi leaving them as Trivedi doesn't share a good rapport with Mamata. It must be remembered that Trivedi is most famous for being ousted as the Railway Minister when he presented a Rail Budget that irked Mamata's ire in 2012.
