The contest here is going to be among BJP’s Bommi Sri Hari Rao, Congress’ Chinta Mohan, YSR Congress Party's Balle Durgaprasad and TDP’s Panabaka Lakshmi. The counting of votes will be done on May 23.

Tirupati Lok Sabha Constituency: Kadapa will go to polls on April 11 along with 24 other Lok Sabha constituencies in Andhra Pradesh. Here, the contest is going to be among BJP’s Bommi Sri Hari Rao, Congress’ Chinta Mohan, YSR Congress Party's Balle Durgaprasad and TDP’s Panabaka Lakshmi. The counting of votes will be done on May 23. 

YSR Congress Party's Varaprasad Rao is the sitting MP in Tirupati who had secured 580376 votes in 2014. He thrashed Karumanchi Jayaram of the BJP who got 542951 votes.

Tirupati Lok Sabha results in 2014 and 2009

2014: Varaprasad Rao Velagapalli of the YSR Congress Party secured 580376 votes. He thrashed Karumanchi Jayaram of the BJP who got 542951 votes.
 
2009: Dr. Chinta Mohan of the Congress received 510961 votes. He defeated  Varla Ramaiah of the TDP who only got 409127 votes. 

2004: Dr. Chinta Mohan of the Congress secured 510961 votes. He defeated Dr. N. Venkata Swamy of the BJP who got only 311633 votes. 

Lok Sabha elections in all the 25 constituencies in Andhra Pradesh will take place on April 11. The Assembly elections wil also take place simultaneously on April 11 along with the Lok Sabha polls. Counting of votes will be held on May 23.
