Three drug peddlers held, intoxicants seized in Samba

Three suspected drug peddlers have been arrested and a large quantity of intoxicants has been seized allegedly from their possession in separate incidents in Samba district, police said today.

Acting on a specific information, the police conducted a raid at Bari village in Smailpur area of Bari Brahmana last evening and arrested one Zaheer Abas, a police officer said.

610 intoxicated capsules of clavidol, nine injections of Pramsliv, 30 tablets of Prilamlive and 14 tablets of Macdol were seized which he used to sell to drug addicts, the officer said.

Police has registered a case under the NDPS Act at Police Station Bari Brahmana and further investigations are underway, he said.

In another incident, one Vishal Sharma was arrested near Vijaypur railway station in the district and 476 capsules of Spm-Prx Plus were seized from his possession, he said. A case under NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana and an investigation is underway, he added.

Acting on some specific information, the police nabbed one Joginder Singh alias Kanta near Jammu-Pathankot national highway and and seized 130 grams of cannabis, he said, adding that a case has been registered against him and further investigation is on.
