Foreign Affairs Ministry refused to take terrorist Ayman al-Zawahiri’s threat to the Army and the Jammu and Kashmir government seriously. Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said on Thursday that the security forces are well-equipped and capable of maintaining territorial integrity.

In a video, al-Zawahiri had told the “Mujahideen in Kashmir” to inflict “unrelenting blows” on the Army and state government. “I don’t want to respond to a threat from any proscribed terrorist organisation,” said Kumar. “Our security forces are well equipped and capable of maintaining our territorial integrity and sovereignty.”
