Those trying to cash on Maratha reservation issue, will fail: Maharashtra CM Fadnavis, Athawale slam Sharad Pawar

Without naming NCP president Sharad Pawar, both Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister of state for social justice Ramdas Athavale on Thursday said that the efforts of those (Pawar) trying to cash on Maratha reservation issue and Kopardi incident would prove futile. Fadnavis said that those whose shops are closing down because of decision making of Prime Minister Narendra Modi are exhibiting their unrest.

While Athavale made it clear that there would not be any amendment in atrocities act, Chief Minister Fadnavis thanked the Maratha organizations for organizing silent march in various cities which ensured that atmosphere is not vitiated. Fadnavis said that those who organized these march maintained restrain and did not gave any speeches and it also did not allow those who wanted to cash on it for political purpose. Fadnavis said that there are few people who are unhappy because of decisions by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for obvious reasons since there shops are getting closed down. 

Fadnavis said that Kopardi rape and murder incident was serious issue and no such incidents would be tolerated. He said that criminals never belong to any caste and they wuld be dealt with utmost severity. Athavale made it clear that it was Republican Party activists who nabbed the perpetrators of Kopardi rape and murder incident. 

Athavale said that those who have committed Kopardi crime should be hanged and if Maratha community can take out massive rallies and march, we also can take out march with equal number of participants. He said that atrocities are because of caste spirit and there is no need to effect any change in atrocities act.
