This salute to Tricolour by Assam school is simply the best! Here's why

India is celebrating its 71st Independence Day and there are Tricolours everywhere. From 'Tiranga' kites in Delhi skies to flags on Bangalore cars, you simply can't miss our national flag.
There is a sense of awe and your heart is filled with pride. But one photo that has captured the national pride beautifully comes all the way from flood-hit Assam.

Standing in knee-deep water, the teaching staff and two students of an Assam school are seen saluting the nation flag and shall we add, its simply superb. According to a report in the Hindustan Times,  the teachers include head teacher Tazem Sikder, his colleagues Nripen Rabha, Joydev Roy, and Mizanur Rahman from Naskara Lower Primary School of Dhubri district.

The two students have been identified as Jiarul Ali Khan and Haidor Ali Khan from Class 3. “We couldn’t do much due to the flooding. We sang the national anthem and Vande Mataram. Since, small children can’t be in water for long, we dispersed the assembly early,” Mizanur Rahman, one of the teachers, has been quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.

Assam is facing the worst flood in nearly 30 years. The deluge has claimed over 100 lives  and over 32 lakh have been affected by the flood. A total 3,192 villages are under water and 1.79 lakh hectares of crop area have been damaged, Assam State Disaster Management Authority said in a recent report.
