This is how Robin Hood Army will steal hearts of India and Pakistan on Independence Day

The campaign started by the Robin Hood Army will try to assimilate students from both the countries where they are going to rally together to provide food to the hungry people of India and Pakistan.

The Robin Hood Army of India and Pakistan has decided to send some cheer across the country by aiming to feed thousands in both the countries on Independence day. 

The charity organisation operates in both India and Pakistan where volunteers arrange extra food from eateries and restaurants and give them to around 4000 hungry people every day. The organisation, on the occasion of Independence day, have launched a new mission #Mission100k where they are aiming to feed almost a 100,000 hungry people in both the countries, according to Huffington Post. 

The campaign started by the Robin Hood Army will try to assimilate students from both the countries where they are going to rally together to provide food to the hungry people of India and Pakistan. 

Talking to the news website, founder of the Robin Hood Army Neel Ghose said, "We wanted to do something unique which would inspire students to give back to the community."

Talking about their volunteers present in Pakistan, Ghose said, "What started in Delhi in June 2014 has now reached across the borders. We have over 45 volunteers in Pakistan." The organisation has around 750 volunteers all over India. 

Ghose emphasises that this isn't a one-time publicity exercise. "We are on a mission to curb the waste of food and stamp out hunger. The effort will continue," he said. The campaign has already started getting attention from both sides of the border as these tweets suggest.

The organisation has contacted students from various colleges from the countries including St. Xavier's Calcutta and Mumbai, PEC University of Technology (Chandigarh), Shri Ram College of Commerce (Delhi), Indian School  of Business (Hyderabad), Institute of Business Administration (Karachi), Lahore University of Management Sciences (Lahore).
