In an election result where the BJP and Narendra Modi have flooded through the nation, AAP candidate Ashutosh in conversation with Mayank Aggarwal says that AAP has made an exemplary debut for a party that is just one and a half years old. He echoes the sentiments of the rest of the AAP party and their determination to end injustice.

How do you see the results of the elections?

It’s a major breakthrough for AAP – for a one and half year old party. No single party ever in the history has performed so well (in debut Lok Sabha elections) the way AAP has done. We did so well inpsite of all handicaps with no resources and in this short span of time. We fought bravely against giants like BJP and Congress.

AAP’s vote share has increased and Congress has been routed in Delhi which is a big thing. Also, we have made our presence felt in Delhi, where our vote share has increased, and Punjab where we are winning some seats.

What next for the AAP?

We will continue our fight against corruption. There is nothing to be disheartened. We will sit in opposition and continue our fight. I congratulate BJP for the performance in Lok Sabha elections.
