The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday said Pakistan's attempt to involve the UN in the border issue is nothing but their old tactic of trying to internationalize events in Kashmir. "If they are going to do unprovoked firing, India will retaliate with more than adequate measures. This kind of adventurism will prove costly to them. They are doing the same old thing of internationalizing the issue," BJP national spokesperson Nalin Kohli told ANI.

"Pakistan should instead reflect on the conditions within their country. It is an unsafe place, its economy is in shambles and the political leadership does not have much stake," he added Meanwhile, another BJP spokesperson Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, "There is a factory of terrorism in Pakistan, what are they going to tell the world about it. Government of India is giving a befitting reply on the border, if they violate ceasefire, we can't be welcoming them."

Earlier on Saturday, foreign affairs adviser of Pakistan Sartaj Aziz had dispatched a letter to U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon for assistance in solving the long-running dispute with India over Kashmir. In his letter, Aziz has accused India of deliberate and unprovoked violations of the ceasefire and has blamed India for the deteriorating situation along the LoC.
