Thane: Girl who lost life in road accident scores 8.6 CGPA in CBSE class X

Despite their loss, Kejal's parents decided to donate her organs to three people.

When the CBSE Class X board exam results were declared, the Pandey family didn't have the heart to even check the results. 

Kejal Pandey, a CBSE class X student of Arunodaya Public School, Thane scored 8.6 cumulative grade point average (CGPA). But, her family couldn't celebrate her success as the sixteen-year-old lost her life in April in a road accident while riding pillion with her mother. According to a Times of India report, a car knocked her off the vehicle and left her with irreversible brain damage, leaving the doctors to declare her brain dead.

However, 

Her principal Madhuri Chandrashekhar told the daily that Kejal was one of her brightest students. Her family and friends remember her as a girl who was good at sports, dance and other extra-curricular activities apart from academics. Kejal's father, Shyamakant Pandey recalled his daughter's firm determination to become a Chartered Accountant.

"She died almost 10 days before her birthday. She was always full of life, entertaining everyone. She was my best friend and it is so hard to not have her around," Madhura, a classmate and close friend of Kejal told the daily.
