Terror attack on pilgrim bus: Toll reaches eight

She was supposed to give up her job as a cook with the tour company after the Amarnath Yatra. But it became the last trip of her life. Laliben, a resident of Valsad, was among those injured in the indiscriminate firing by terrorists at an Amarnath Yatra bus in Anantnag in Kashmir last Monday.

She was moved to SKIMS Hospital in Srinagar for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries late on Saturday.

According to her grandson, Laliben had gone to Amarnath after a South India trip. “We had talked to her just two days back and she had told us she was fine. We got to know of her death from news channels this morning,” he said.

Her body was brought to Surat on Sunday.
