Teleserial actress allegedly molested near her home

A teleserial actress was allegedly molested and her mobile phone was snatched off by a person near her home in the southern fringes of the city in the early hours of Monday.

According to the complaint lodged with the police by the 34-yr-old actress the man grabbed her from behind and snatched away her mobile when she was entering the narrow lane outside her home at Netaji Nagar at around 2 am yesterday.

Initially the police claimed it was a case of snatching but after much persistence by the woman booked a complaint of molestation last night. ''We have launched an investigation and are on the look out for the accused,'' a Kolkata Police official said.
