Telangana: Minor raped by teenage neighbour in Hyderabad

A minor girl in Hyderabad's Chatrinaka area was allegedly raped by her teenage neighbour on Saturday afternoon. According to Chatrinaka police, the 14-year-old girl was coaxed by the teenager into his home where he proceeded to rape her.

"A case has been registered against the accused under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 3 and 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Teams have been deployed to nab the teenager boy," news agency ANI quoted the police report.

The police have launched a search to nab the accused teenager, who is said to be around 19 years old.
