Telangana Bill likely to be in Parliament in winter session

The Telangana Bill is likely to be introduced in Parliament during its upcoming winter session, according to highly-placed sources.

The Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana met the secretaries of various government departments today as part of its brief to look into the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

The GoM will on November 12 and 13 meet with the representatives of political parties from Andhra Pradesh to elicit their views on the process of bifurcation of the state.

Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, today arrived in Delhi to meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi.

While there was information that he met Gandhi, there was no immediate confirmation of the same.
