Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo N Chandrababu Naidu will tomorrow share stage while campaigning for 'Mahakutumi' (grand alliance) candidates in Telangana.

The Congress, TDP, CPI and Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) have formed a "grand alliance" for the December 7 assembly polls in Telangana. The joint opposition alliance on Monday released a common agenda for governance. The parties have announced that the "grand alliance" would be known as the "people's front".

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Naidu will tomorrow join the Congress chief at public meetings road shows in Telangana, a TDP leader said.

"On Nov 28 and 29, Andhra CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Congress president Rahul Gandhi will conduct public meetings and hold road shows together on behalf of Mahakutumi candidates. It's definitely going to create a storm in the upcoming elections in Telangana," TDP spokesperson Lanka Dinakar said.

Leaders from other parties of the 'grand alliance' are likely to join the two leaders. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee's (TPCC) campaign panel chairman M Bhatti Vikramarka told reporters at Khammam on Monday that CPI general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy and TJS president M Kodandaram were being invited for the public meeting in which Naidu and Gandhi would participate.

Describing the meeting as "historic", TDP leader Nama Nageswara Rao said a message would go out to the country from the meeting. They are also expected to participate in road shows during the campaign for the elections.

Naidu had met Gandhi earlier this month as part of efforts to put together an anti-BJP front.

Gandhi and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi had participated in an election rally in Medchal on the city's outskirts on Friday.

Yesterday, a common agenda for governance of the grand alliance was released by Congress president in Telangana N Uttam Kumar Reddy, TDP's state unit president L Ramana, TJS president M Kodandaram and CPI's incharge state secretary Palla Venkat Reddy.

The "agenda of aspirations of the "martyrs"' (those who sacrificed their life for separate Telangana) would form the political and ideological basis for the 'people's front' before the polls and coalition government post elections, the agenda said.

The agenda said administrative changes would be made to end the "dictatorial" and "corrupt" rule of TRS.

It said a judicial inquiry would be conducted into the design of major contracts and the award of contracts during the last four years.

For the farm sector, the alliance promised Rs two lakh loan waiver at one go and setting up a Rs 10,000 crore fund for price stabilisation and market intervention.

Uttam Kumar Reddy hoped that the 'people's front' would form the government after the elections.

He said that a committee would be formed, with Kodandaram as its chairman with Cabinet rank, for the implementation of the agenda.
Those who fought for a separate Telangana would get recognition and also "partnership" in government schemes, the agenda said.

Among others, the agenda said one lakh jobs would be filled in the first year after coming to power.

The agenda promised implementation of reports of the Sachar Commitee and Sudhir Committee on welfare of minorities.

It also said that libraries showcasing Telangana literature and records of photos, audio and video of separate Telangana agitation would be set up.
