Tel man found killed, cops suspect role of his friends

A 26-year-old electrician from Nalgonda district of Telangana was allegedly killed by his friends, the police said today.

The injured M Shobhan Babu was brought on a bike to a private hospital at Vanasthalipuram area here last night by three persons, according to police.

However, after doctors declared him brought dead, they fled the scene, police said, adding that as per preliminary investigation, the man was brutally assaulted.

"He seems to have been hit with rods as injury marks are clearly visible on his body. Two out of three persons who shifted him at the hospital have been identified as Yadagiri and Rajesh," Vanasthalipuram police station Inspector S Murali Krishna said.

Asked if anyone has been picked up in connection with the incident, the officer said, "We are investigating".

A case of murder has been registered by the police.
