Commuters were left stranded when a technical glitch in the Blue Line of Delhi Metro ( Dwarka Sector 21-Vaishali/Noida City Centre) resulted in erratic train services.
The technical snag happened at around 5.45 PM, when an over-head wire got snapped between Dwarka Mor and Dwarka section, according to officers quoted by IANS.
The snag happened in the 'Up-line', so all trains had to be routed through the 'Down-line' to keep the system running. But it naturally led to inordinate delay and harassment for the commuters during such busy hour in the evening. Since train services were infrequent, it lead to massive congestion in the coaches which further slowed down the trains. Technical team of Delhi Metro is currently at the spot to sort out the situation.
