Maharashtra school education minister Vinod Tawde today warned of action against a school in suburban Dahisar if it expelled a single student for non-payment of revised fees.
"The management of Universal School is invited to a discussion regarding the fees. The state fee regulatory committee will also hear the argument of the school at around 12.30 on Thursday," the minister said.
If the school removed any student for non-payment of fees, the government will withdraw the No-Objection Certificate granted to it, the minister said.
Some parents have alleged that they received notices threatening removal of their children from the school if a revised (increased) fee is not paid.
