Tarun Gogoi sanctions Rs 50 crore for police

To upgrade the infrastructure of police installations across the state, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Wednesday sanctioned Rs 50 crore.

According to an official release, the plan includes police stations, outposts, battalions, border outposts and barracks among others for repair and improvement of the infrastructure. 

Proper living places, constructing toilets and drinking water facilities will also be improved, it added.
