A woman superintendent of police has filed a sexual harassment complaint against an Inspector General rank officer in Tamil Nadu and also accused him of displaying pornographic material in her presence.

In a written complaint, the woman officer has explained how the IG started harassing her when she rejected his advances, reported Times of India.

She has also claimed that her senior used to call her in the wee hours and send obscene messages to her and also displayed pornographic materials in her presence.

A report also said that the male officers threatened to make adverse entries in her annual confidential report (ACR) which would reflect on her career.

The state government has set up a committee to look into the incident, and the issue has now been forwarded to the newly reconstituted Vishaka Committee.
