Tamil Nadu: Madras HC's Madurai bench restraints police from arresting TTV Dhinakaran

The Madras High Court's Madurai bench on Tuesday restrained Tamil Nadu police from arresting TTV Dhinakaran and actor Senthil till October 4 on AIADMK Tiruchy MP Kumar's complaint about derogatory remarks.

Kumar had lodged a complaint with Tiruchy city police alleging that Senthil made derogatory comments against him at the behest of Dinakaran at an interaction with media persons in Chennai.

The police on September 1, registered a case against Dinakaran and actor Senthil.

Senthil was named the main accused in the case while Dinakaran was included as accused number two.

Kumar is a supporter of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisami.
