Tamil Nadu Elections 2016: Congress leader Khushbu challenges AIADMK to issue a freebie-less manifesto

Khushbu, the Congress spokesperson, who has been canvassing for the party across Tamil Nadu has now issued a challenge to the AIADMK. Speaking to the media in Kanyakumari recently, the actress-turned-politician spoke about the fact that Jayalalithaa has not yet released her manifesto.

She then went on to ask if the AIADMK can contest in these elections without giving away any material goods like an LED TV, fridge, scooty, mixer or grinder. The Congress spokesperson said she challenged the AIADMK this time round to not give any freebies and only fight the elections saying they will do good for the people. 

AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa is expected to release the party's election manifesto on May 6 at her Poes Garden residence and then go to the R K Nagar constituency where she is contesting from. She will have five meetings at R K Nagar on Friday as per her schedule. Her manifesto this time round is expected to have important measures for the welfare of the people of Tamil Nadu.
