AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa waited till all the other parties released their manifesto ahead of the Tamil Nadu elections. On May 5, at the Perundurai election rally, she finally released her manifesto officially. In all her elections rallies so far, she has been talking about all that her government has done so far. Now, she has announced what she will be doing for the people if she is voted back as Chief Minister.

Jayalalithaa has announced free mobile phones for all ration cardholders in Tamil Nadu and a 50% discount on motorbikes for working women. She has also stated that there will be free laptops given this time round too for students and free Wi-Fi made available in public spaces.

The Hindu and The NewsMinute listed out the highlights of the AIADMK manifesto:

-- Free Laptops with Internet for 10th and 12th std students.

-- Ban on Jallikattu to be lifted

-- Maternity assistance of Rs. 18,000. Nine months leave.

-- 100 units electricity free every two months.

-- Relief for fisherfolk to be increased to Rs. 5000. Separate scheme for construction of houses for fishermen.

-- Separate housing for fisherfolk.

-- Farmers loans to be paid Cooperative banks completely waived off

-- Rs 40,000 crores of farm loans to be given between 2016 to 2021.

-- Women to get 50% subsidy to buy mopeds of scooties

-- Master health check-up and women special check up to be expanded to all districts.

-- Assures uninterrupted supply of power

-- Poor people to get Amma Banking Card to avail all government services

-- 20% land on SME industrial parks will be reserved for SC/ST entrpreneurs.

-- New granite policy, Lokayukta on the anvil.

-- All ration card holders to get co-optex coupons worth Rs. 500 for Pongal festival.

-- 10 lakh houses promised through various housing schemes.

-- One soverign gold for women ahead of marriages

-- Free cell phones for all ration card holders.

-- State govt. employees salary to be revissed as per 7th Pay Commission.

-- Rs. 1 lakh for temples of local deities.

-- Aavin to provide milk for Rs. 25 per litre.

--Women to be trained in driving vehicles and subsidy provided to buy au-tickshaws.

--Old pension scheme for govt. employees to continue.

--Housing loans for govt. employees to be raised to Rs. 40 lakh

--Education loans of students who are still unemployed to be paid by the govt.

-- Govt. to reimburse education loan.

--Amma banking card to improve financial services. - to get interest-free loans and avail of government schemes.

-- Free Wi-Fi at public spaces.

-- Breakfast under nutritious meal scheme.

-- Guaranteed job to be provided for one person in each family

-- Ensure Karnataka won't build a dam across Cauvery

-- Link all the rivers flowing across TN

-- Athikadavu-Avinasi scheme to be implemented

-- New milk cooperative societies to be formed

-- BPL families to be provided 4 goats for free

-- The implementation of NEET to be objected to

-- 200 units free electricity for handloom weavers

-- No FDI in retail in TN

-- Free buses rides for senior citizens

-- Monorail in Chennai, Madurai, Trichy and Coimbatore
