T-55 Battle Tank to be stationed at Jaipur National University

After several years of service in the army, now the T-55 battle tank will be installed at the Jaipur National University (JNU). The tank will symbolize a sense of glory, sacrifice and strength of Indian Army and motivate the students to join Indian army.

The battle tank is being installed for the first time in any university in Rajasthan. JNU chancellor Dr Sandeep Bakshi consulted  senior officers of the Army after which the army sanction a T-55 tank in the university campus. Dr Bakshi said that it is a matter of pride and pleasure not only for JNU fraternity, but all the educational institutions across the state with this incredible initiative of JNU. 

Dr Bakshi further added that our purpose is to create a sense of patriotism, security and service toward the nation among young generation and it is vital for attracting students to join the armed forces. Tank would instill love for armed forces in the university.
