If one thought people going on social media to criticise demonetization was the start, there are individuals who are taking a step further to add a creative touch to it. A baker in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district has baked a 29 kig cake with a model of the Reserve Bank of India and people queuing outside ATMs has been making news.
On January 2, the cake was auctioned to the highest bidder. According to India Today, Anjana Saha, the owner of the bakery who is the brains behind the auction, believed that the cake would be sold for at least Rs 20,000.
According to Saha, the cake weighs 64 pounds (29 kg) and shows people queued outside the ATM and RBI. There is a dustbin nearby in which a thrown Rs 1000 note can be seen.
