Swaraj Abhiyan, an outfit founded by former AAP leaders Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, on Sunday announced a new campaign "Jai Kisan Andolan" and launched a helpline for the rural people to tell about their problems.

"Jai Kisan Andolan seeks to uncover the true face of the government initiative Gram Uday campaign. It will also record farmers' Mann ki Peeda. The Prime Minister narrates his Mann ki Baat but the government never pays heed to the farmer's agony, which always goes unheard. In a desperate bid to improve its anti-farmer image, the Centre has now launched a new campaign Gram Uday se Bharat Uday Abhiyan," a statement by the Swaraj Abhiyan said.

"The Jai Kisan movement sees it as an opportunity to bring to the fore the true voice of farmers before the country. A helpline number 011-66977663 has been released for the farmers and rural India, where the problems being faced (Mann ki Peeda) by villagers can be recorded," it said.

It also said, "Jai Kisan Andolan will act as a carrier for the voice of rural India and assist it in reaching the whole country and those in power."
