Suspected ISI agents being questioned

Day after the state police nabbed two men for suspected espionage activities and a Joint Interrogation Team (JIT) was formed to investigate the matter, the duo was put under detention. Identified as Ramzan Khan and Nabeer Bux Khan - the duo were detained from Kishangarh area of Jaisalmer on Wednesday.

As earlier reported by DNA, the agencies recovered images of bunkers, army areas and other sensitive places from mobile phones recovered from the duo. “Ramzan and Nabeer have been detained under section eight of Official Secrets Act after suspicion of espionage activities being carried out by them. We are trying to verify the pictures by matching them to the areas from where they have been collected.

Their connection in Pakistan and local connections will also be investigated. Several other points are also being investigated and after they are ascertained, the duo will be arrested” officials said. The JIT have also recovered certain documents and books from the houses of the two men which are also being studied. Notably, acting on an intelligence lead, the state police along with army intelligence conducted a raid and detained two men from Jaisalmer in connection with espionage related activities on Wednesday.
