Two terrorists were killed during the operation conducted by security forces at Jammu and Kashmir's Sunjwan Army Camp on Saturday, in the aftermath of a terror attack.

Two Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs) were killed while a Colonel rank officer and daughter of an Army personnel were among six persons injured as Jaish-e-Mohammed militants attacked the Sunjwan Army camp.

Those injured included a Colonel rank Army officer, Havaldar Abdul Hamid, Lance Naik Bahadur Singh and daughter of Subedar Chowdhary.

Meanwhile, there is no hostage crisis in the army camp as 19 of the 26 flats have been evacuated. However, the operation continues.

Kavinder Gupta, Speaker of Jammu and Kashmir assembly hinted the involvement of Rohingya.

"I watched a live video, one can see Army area from rooftops there (where Rohingyas and Bangladeshis live), there is drug mafia running in those areas. For money some people have given them space to stay, the government must take note of this,"  Gupta said.

A senior lawmaker of the National Conference raised Pro-Pakistan slogans in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly after BJP members condemned the neighbouring country over the terror attack.

The NC distanced itself from the sloganeering by party MLA Mohammad Akbar Lone which came even as the operation to flush out terrorists from the Sunjwan camp was underway.

DGP S P Vaid said the terrorists entered from the rear side of Sunjwan Army camp where family quarters are located.

Schools in the entire area around the camp have been closed by authorities as a precautionary measure.

Intelligence inputs had warned of an attack on the Army or security establishment by Jaish-e-Mohammed in view of the death anniversary of Afzal Guru who was hanged on February 9, 2013.
