Amid the tragedy in Sunjuwan, where JeM terrorists attacked an Army camp and killed five soldiers and a civilian, military doctors managed to save the life of an injured woman, who got into labour, and helped her deliver a healthy baby.

According to news agency ANI, Army doctors saved the life of the woman, who had received gunshots in the terror attack. She delivered a baby girl through c-section on Saturday night. "I am very thankful to them for saving me and my baby," she said.

The army doctor who conducted the operation said, "This wasn't a routine case. As a gynaecologist, it is always our motto that mother should come alone & go with a healthy baby in her lap. It's a very joyful moment for my hospital and our team. Patient is really happy," he said.

The Hospital commandant informed the news agency that the case was challenging, but he was extremely happy and proud that his team delivered.

On Saturday, a group of heavily armed Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists struck the sprawling camp of the 36 brigade of Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry in the early hours around 5 am.

Two of the attackers in combat gear were also gunned down while nine people--a major, three personnel and five women and children--were injured in the day long operation on Saturday.

Six people, including five Army personnel, were killed while 10 others were injured in the attack by JeM terrorists.

Earlier on Sunday, a National Investigation Agency (NIA) team visited the camp and examined the evidence collected by the Army from the site of the gun battle.

The NIA is mandated to probe all terror-related cases in the country as per an act of Parliament.

NIA is already investigating the November 2016 Nagrota attack case in which seven Army personnel, including two officers, and three terrorists were killed.
