Sunanda Pushkar case : Police Commissioner Bassi says exhibits being examined, data analysis under process

 Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi on Tuesday said exhibits related to the Sunanda Pushkar's murder probe are being examined and added that some downloaded data is also being analysed.

"The exhibits are being examined and it takes time to be examined. There are processes and procedures to be followed. The information will be given once the report comes out," said Bassi. "Till the time investigation is not completed in this case, anyone needed to be questioned will be done by us. But, we do not plan to do so in coming few days. The data downloaded is being analysed so that thorough investigation can take place," he added.

Sunanda Pushkar's son, Shiv Menon, and former minister Shashi Tharoor are among those interrogated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Sunanda Pushkar was found dead in the five-star Leela Hotel in Delhi on January 17, 2014. She was married to Tharoor for a little less than four years. It was the third marriage for both. Before her death, Pushkar had publicly accused Tharoor of having an affair with a Pakistani journalist, Mehr Tarar.

Initially, her death was debated as a possible suicide for months, and it was only this month, that a murder theory began to be considered seriously after doctors at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) maintained that her demise was unnatural.
