In a sudden weather change, parts of Delhi-NCR region was today hit by a dust storm. Pictures showed various parts of the city covered under the dust storm.
Earlier, Skymet Weather had said in a forcast that the city would witness pre-Monsoon activities including thunderstorm and dust storm
"Beginning with Friday, Delhi-NCR is all set to record thunderstorm and dust storm for the next 24-48 hours. Isolated pocket might also see light thundershowers. Partly cloudy to cloudy sky conditions can already be seen over the city," it said.
It would be a prolonged spell which would stay for at least 3-4 days, it said.
The approaching spell would bring much needed spell from scorching heat in afternoon and warm nights, Skymet Weather said.
"As these would be pre-Monsoon activities, it would mostly occur during the latter part of the day or evening and by then, mercury had already peaked. But relief is on card," it had said.
