Sub inspector caught receiving Rs 30,000 bribe in Madhya Pradesh

A sub-inspector (SI) posted at Kakadda police post was caught red-handed by Lokayukta sleuths while taking a bribe of Rs 30,000 in lieu of not executing an arrest warrant pending against a liquor contractor.

Acting on a tip-off, Lokayukta Police laid a trap and arrested SI Nanuram Solanki red-handed yesterday receiving the bribe money from contractor Rajendra Jaiswal.

Solanki demanded Rs one lakh from Jaiswal for granting one month time to execute an arrest warrant against him in connection with a case, Lokayukta Police Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) D S Parihar said.

After the Lokayukta action, Khargone SP Rajesh Dandotiya line attached Solanki.
