Politics is a tough game and even 'God of cricket' needs time to master it. Bharat Ratna and sports legend Sachin Tendulkar learned it hard way when he failed to make his debut speech in the Rajya Sabha during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament on Thursday.
The 44-year-old lawmaker was supposed to initiate a short discussion on the welfare of sportspersons in the country.
As soon as he got up to address the House, the Congress leaders started protesting against the government and demanded apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his Pakistan remark against ex-PM Manmohan Singh.

The ruckus continued with the 'Master Blaster' silently standing for 10-minutes and watching the din.
Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu requested the Congress to let Tendulkar speak but it didn't help the legend to deliver his maiden Parliament speech.
Despite Naidu pleading with Congress MP to allow Tendulkar to complete his submission, Congress MP continued raising slogans in the Well of House, forcing an adjournment.
"We're discussing about sports and you don't have the sporting spirit," Naidu said and ordered the live telecast of the Session be cut off.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said Congress was confused and has lost plot. He said while the main Opposition party is participating in discussion in the Lok Sabha on supplementary demands of grants, it didn't allow a maiden speech of Bharat Ratna Tendulkar, who is a source of pride for whole nation.
Tendulkar was speaking on a non-political and non controversial issue, said the minister.
'He has earned name for India at the world stage, it is a matter of shame that he was not allowed to speak even when everyone knew it was on today's agenda. Are only politicians allowed to speak,' visibly angry Rajya Sabha MP Jaya Bachchan said.
