Rajasthan governor Margaret Alva inaugurated a seminar on religious harmony organised by Ramakrishna Mission, in Jaipur on Saturday. Alva congratulated Ramakrishna Mission for launching such intense deliberations on a very critical theme in the present times. Inquisitive about discussions during the seminar, she said, “I look forward to the outcome of your deliberations. May such initiatives gather more strength.”
Stressing the need of such seminars, Alva said, “The human civilisation has advanced our material well being to unprecedented levels; we are despatching missions to Moon and Mars. Yet, ironically, we are struggling to figure out how to live harmoniously with each other.” The seminar was organised to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
