Vashi: The Mumbai division education board helpline number at Vashi office, to facilitate students to talk to a panel of psychologists in order to do away their confusions related to their school secondary certificate (SSC) and higher secondary certificate (HSC) examinations, are operational from today. A panel of five experts will help students to cope up with the pressure of examinations for the next one month.
Students with exams related issues or having any fear, can talk to the panel members and sort out their problems. One of the panel members will be available round the hour to help students.
Every year, the division office sets up the helpline number to reduce exam phobia among students. "In order to do away with their confusion and fear and help them pass their examinations, the Secondary and Higher Secondary Board in Vashi has started the helpline number that will be functional during the examinations," said Laxmikant Pandey, chairman, Mumbai division, Vashi office.
The panel compromises a group of educational experts and well-known psychologists to respond to the calls of students if they need any help. "On many occasions, exam phobia causes anxiety, worry and fear among students just before and after examins,"said Pandey, adding that counselling can help them do away their problems.
According to experts, students feel disturbed and insecure as the examinations approach, even though they have prepared well for the examination. There is fear among them that they are forgetting things. "In such a situation, students need counselling from experts and psychologists. And it has been really helpful for them in the past," said Pandey.
