Militants opened fire on a police party in Qazigund village.

Four policemen were injured in a militant attack in Qazigund area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district this evening, police said.
Militants opened fire on a police party at Nawa Chowgam village in Qazigund area, 75 kms from Srinagar, a police official said.

The injured have been identified as Head Constable Manzoor Ahmad and constable Mohammad Ashraf and Mohammad Yaqoob.
Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched an operation to track down the assailants, the official added.
